Real-time global earthquake tracking, powered by USGS data

Bashige Live Global Earthquake Monitor is a free, real-time earthquake tracker. It visualizes recent earthquakes around the world — from minor M1 tremors to major M6+ events — on an interactive Esri satellite map, using official U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) feeds refreshed every 90 seconds.

How to use the earthquake map

  1. Choose a time range: past hour, past 24 hours, past 7 days, or past 30 days.
  2. Filter by magnitude: M1.0+, M2.5+, M4.5+, or significant earthquakes.
  3. Sort by latest or strongest, then click any event to zoom to its epicenter.
  4. Open the linked USGS event page for depth, felt reports, and tsunami alerts.

Why track earthquakes live?

  • See earthquakes today as they are published by seismograph networks.
  • Compare aftershock sequences after a large mainshock.
  • Check tsunami-flagged events and pager alerts before traveling.
  • Embed awareness: this monitor is informational — always follow official guidance in an emergency.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is it free? Yes — free to use on any device, no sign-up required.
  • What to do in a strong earthquake? Drop, cover, and hold on during shaking; afterwards follow your local emergency authority. See our Terms of Use disclaimer.
